Tues 17 Nov
Today I went to the Perri Urbana to meet up with Omar. He told me that was a good meeting spot because if we needed any extra tools for the vivero, we could get them there. First the boss told all of the workers including me to prune all of the citrus trees bordering the buildings in the Perri Urbana. By doing this, we would cut off all of the branches that are not helping the tree but stealing nutrients and water from it. After pruning, we went to the vivero and raked for a while to clean up the place. After lunch I returned and it was raining pretty hard so Orlando and I chilled and talked until the rain died down. After Orlando gave me a brief lesson on how to graft a tree and the technique so you wouldn’t cut your fingers off while doing it. I practiced with my Swiss Army Knife because it wasn't nearly as Sharpe as the real knifes for grafting would be. After work I went home and practiced Yoga. Later I went to dinner, and then went to the Bibliotheca to have my first Spanish English lesson with him. It lasted for about an hour a one half and it was fun. After the lesson, I went to Jensi's room to watch a movie with a couple other friends. I left before the movie was over because I had to get to bed. I biked home and then hit the sack!
